Dr. Louis Mai

Dr. Mai was born in New Jersey and raised in Texas. He earned his Bachelor of Science and Arts in Biology from the University of Texas at Austin before receiving his Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry.

During his clinical training, Dr. Mai completed an externship at Cedar Springs Eye Clinic, where he developed extensive experience in diagnosing and managing a wide range of ocular conditions, including dry eye disease, glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy. He also provided pre- and post-operative care for cataract surgery patients, fit specialty contact lenses such as orthokeratology (Ortho-K) and scleral lenses.

Dr. Mai also completed an externship at Lakeline Vision Source, a well-established private practice, where he further expanded his expertise in comprehensive eye care, specialty contact lenses, myopia management, and vision therapy.
