Dr. Mary Kate Sain was born and raised in Brenham, Texas. Before moving to the DFW area, Dr. Sain earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Leadership, Education and Development from Texas A&M University and then received her Doctor of Optometry from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee. While in school, Dr. Sain served in multiple leadership roles and was recognized as Outstanding Student of the Year. Following graduation, she moved to Fort Worth to complete an Ocular Disease residency at the Community Eye Clinic. Helping patients of all ages achieve their visual needs is one of Dr. Sain's favorite parts of practicing optometry.
Dr. Sain is a licensed Therapeutic Optometrist and Optometric Glaucoma Specialist, licensed in both Texas and Tennessee she is a member of the American Optometric Association, Texas Optometric Association, Tarrant County Optometric Society and is a fellow candidate for the American Academy of Optometry. She also serves as an officer for Tarrant County Optometric Society and serves on a committee within the Texas Optometric Association. Dr. Sain’s clinical interests involve diabetic eye care, vitreo-retinal disease, neuro-ophthalmic conditions, glaucoma, cataracts, keratoconus and specialty contact lenses.
She and her husband, Will, reside in Fort Worth and enjoying traveling, listening to live music, attending sporting events, going the lake, and spending time with their family and friends. Growing up, Mary Kate was a cheerleader and exhibited Brahman cattle across the county, including grand champion titles at both the State Fair of Texas and the Fort Worth Livestock Show and Rodeo.
